Patient Reunion

Texas Transplant Institute is proud to host a very special and memorable reunion every few years to honor transplant patients, living donors, and give hope and inspiration to patients on the transplant waiting list. This event enables past and current patients and living donors an opportunity to visit with each other, revisit with their physicians and transplant staff, and participate in education activities on issues related to transplantation. Invited guests include people of all ages who are on our transplant waiting lists, living donors and patients who have had a kidney, pancreas, heart, liver or a bone marrow/stem cell transplant since the inception of our first transplant program in 1984. Our most recent event was held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. Over 1,600 attendees enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with their friends, family, and health care providers.

We are thrilled to announce that our next patient reunion will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at SeaWorld of Texas in San Antonio. Current and past Texas Transplant Institute patients – post-transplant, pre-transplant, and living donors - are invited to attend.
